File Specifications

When supplying us with your files, there's a thing or two to keep in mind to ensure there are no hiccups along the way.

There are many file types that can be generated by computer software - but not all are created equally.

supply it in the right file type

We accept high-resolution .pdf, .png, .ai, .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff and .eps files.

Please do not supply Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint files.

why we like vector format

Vector artwork is art that's made up of vector graphics. These graphics are points, lines, curves and shapes that are based on mathematical formulas.

When you scale a vector image file, it isn't low resolution and there's no loss of quality, so it can be sized to however large or small you need it to be.

It's an excellent tool for putting company logos on business cards, creating poster designs, and when photoshopping in Adobe Photoshop. Any art made with vector illustration software like Adobe Illustrator is considered vector art.

make sure the files are as high resolution as possible

Hi-res images are at least 300 pixels per inch (dpi). This resolution is the standard for a print quality finish.

Otherwise, supplying artwork as a vector is helpful to scale for a whole range of purposes (e.g. from business cards to building signage).

does this all sound like a load of gibberish?

In the first instance, you should contact your designer - or whomever supplied you with your business branding in the first place - as they will have the final designs and open artwork files to supply you.

And if that's not possible, speak to one of our team members about what you have and we'll see if we can come up with a solution.
